I recently bought this cover for an extended warranty when I bought a mattress. It was risky as it's made of terry, I was worried that it will be too hot to sleep on, although in the end it turned out to be good. I guess the breathability mentioned in the description works. The kid tosses and turns a lot at night, but the case handles it, it stays in place. We haven't spilled anything on it or washed it, so I can't say anything about its water-repellent properties.

The protector is good. The child doesn't sweat, although he didn't sweat before when we didn't have a protector. What works for sure is that it doesn't absorb moisture. The child spilled water a couple of times and the mattress stayed dry. It doesn't move off the mattress in different directions, it doesn't rustle. I recommend it.
